1. Project Introduction:

In October 2019, Tianjin Yuantai Derun Steel Pipe Manufacturing Group successfully won the bid for the Qinghai Province UHV Transmission Base Power Configuration Project and the Qinghai Province Ten Million KW New Energy Base (One District and Two Parks) Photovoltaic Project Power Engineering Infrastructure AC Energy Storage System, becoming the only supplier of the project's initial 130,000 tons of nearly 1 billion yuan of structural round pipes. This project also allowed Tianjin Yuantai Derun Group to directly participate in the bidding of national key projects, setting a new record for the contract amount, and also demonstrated Tianjin Yuantai Derun Group's production capacity of structural steel pipes (structural square and rectangular pipes, structural round pipes) and one-stop supporting service capabilities for large-scale projects.

The project's initial total investment was 7.197 billion yuan, with a total installed capacity of 1000.05MWp. The project matrix consists of 13 photovoltaic power generation areas, with 322 sub-array battery modules deployed, and 340Wp, 400Wp, 410Wp, 415Wp, 420Wp, 430Wp, and monocrystalline bifacial modules, totaling 3,222,000. 4843 175kW string inverters and 1619 225kW string inverters were selected; 322 35kV box transformers; 322 energy storage units (one energy storage container for each subunit); the 1-1#~13# 35kV collection station of the box transformer was laid with direct cable burial, and the cable length was 100322m.

2. Bidding process:

After the public bidding, the person in charge of Party A mentioned in the exchange meeting that Tianjin Yuantai Derun Group was selected among many bidding companies, mainly because Tianjin Yuantai Derun Group has reliable production and supply capabilities, strong financial strength, one-stop processing and supporting services, one-stop logistics and transportation, and one-ticket logistics service capabilities. This sense of responsibility has greatly reduced Party A's overall project cost on the one hand, and on the other hand, it has solved Party A's worries about project operation. As a wholly-owned private enterprise, Tianjin Yuantai Derun Group's work coordination efficiency, past large-scale project engineering service experience, emergency response capabilities, and abnormal responsibility also make Party A feel trustworthy.

At the beginning of the project, the senior management of Tianjin Yuantai Derun Group attached great importance to it. They used the supporting cooperation resources accumulated by the group for many years to form a project team for full communication and exchange, and provided many constructive product improvement suggestions for the technical part of Party A, which were adopted by Party A's project team. At the same time, the project team optimized cost control for each link of the project many times. Since the project schedule of Party A was very tight, we had prepared the resources and personnel such as units and molds in advance without considering the risks while bidding. The first car was shipped within a week after the bidding ended, which won great recognition from Party A.

3. Perfect completion of project requirements:

Tianjin Yuantai Derun Group has been focusing on the production of square and rectangular tubes for nearly 20 years, and naturally has rich experience in tube making technology. It can meet the requirements of Party A's project for the dimensional accuracy of round tubes and the control requirements of zinc content in hot-dip galvanizing process with high standards. At the same time, relying on the strong supporting advantages of Tianjin Daqiuzhuang for steel pipes, the production of steel pipe pile flanges, stiffening plate accessories, cutting and welding processing have ensured the simultaneous implementation of project supporting. For the extremely large transportation requirements in a short time, the group's logistics department negotiated with the cooperation team in Tianjin on the one hand, and went to Qinghai on the other hand to negotiate with the cooperation team, which provided a strong guarantee for the long-distance and high-density transportation of products.

Tianjin Yuantai Derun Group has long attached importance to product quality and key technological breakthroughs. At present, the group has obtained nearly 60 invention and utility model patents. Under the initiative of deepening the reform of national standardization, it initiated the formulation and release of T/CSCS TC02-03-2018 "Square and Rectangular Tubes for Mechanical Structures", T/CSCS TC02-02-2018 "Square and Rectangular Tubes for Building Structures", T/CSCS 006-2019 "Square and Rectangular Tubes for Bridge Structures", T/CSCS 007-2019 "Hot-rolled Seamless Square and Rectangular Tubes for Building Structures", T/CSCS 008-2019 "Hot-rolled Strip Steel for Square and Rectangular Tubes", T/CSCS TC02-04-2018 "Hot-dip Galvanized Square and Rectangular Tubes for Structures", and jointly standardized product requirements with upstream steel smelting enterprises and well-known downstream industry users from various application fields of structural steel pipes to fill the gaps in the industry.

4. Another roject completed in the same period:

At the same time, in Egypt, the world's largest smart agriculture project with a total bid of 430 million yuan for hot-dip galvanized square and rectangular tubes for structures, which was exclusively supplied by Tianjin Yuantai Derun Group from 2017 to 2018, has basically reached the end of construction. With the efforts of Chinese companies, "growing vegetables in the desert", "solving the employment problem of the local population in Egypt", and "helping Egypt to realize agricultural product exports and earning foreign exchange" have helped the Egyptian people realize the great human desire of desert oasis.

Through the successful project practice of hot-dip galvanized square and rectangular tubes for the Egyptian project in 2017 and hot-dip galvanized round tubes for the Qinghai project in 2019, Tianjin Yuantai Derun Group has demonstrated to the society the group's service capabilities in super-large key engineering projects at home and abroad.
