Analysis of processing performance characteristics of Dx51d Hot Rolled Zn-al-mg Steel Coil Brazilian:
1. Scratch resistance of coating
Planar corrosion of coated coils mostly occurs at scratches, and scratches are an inevitable phenomenon on coated coils, especially during processing. If the coated coil itself has good scratch resistance, it can be used in a long time. Avoid scratches to a large extent, thus extending its service life.
Scratch performance is expressed by the load generated by scratches. The measurement method is to move a sapphire test needle with a tip radius of 0.05mm perpendicular to the test site under a load ranging from 0.0196 to 0.196N (2 to 20gf). The test area is 20mm. After that, visually observe whether scratches occur in the test area, and the smallest load among the loads that cause scratches is regarded as the scratch resistance load.
After testing, Zn-al-mg Steel Coil is the best. The load when it produces scratches is about 1.5 times more than that of galvanized-5% aluminum, and more than 3 times that of galvanized and galvalume.
2 Weldability
Compared with hot-rolled and cold-rolled coils, the welding performance of Zn-al-mg Steel Coil is slightly worse, but it can still be welded with reasonable technology and achieve the required strength, which will not affect its use. For welded parts, Zn-Al paint can be used to repair them to achieve an effect similar to normal coating.
3 Paintability
The paintability of Zn-al-mg Steel Coil is similar to that of aluminum zinc silicon plating and zinc-5% aluminum alloy coating. It can be painted to further improve the appearance and service life.
