The competitiveness and irreplaceability of S450GD Cold Rolled Zn-al-mg Steel Coil American:
1. Core competitiveness
(1) Surface protection ability overcomes the shortcomings of galvanized products being easily scratched;
(2) Edge and scratch protection capabilities, it can produce products with a thickness of 3~8mm without premature edge corrosion, while premature edge corrosion will occur if the galvanized sheet thickness exceeds 3mm;
(3) It has good corrosion resistance for outdoor exposure and can achieve a life span of up to 30 years with a coating of 300g/m2. However, to achieve a 30-year lifespan, galvanized sheets must exceed 800g/m2 on both sides and cannot be produced at all.
2. Irreplaceability
In the following situations, Zn-al-mg Steel Coil can only be used, and other products cannot be substituted:
(1) In long-term outdoor use, such as high-speed guardrails, thicker product specifications and thick surface coatings are required. In the past, batch galvanizing had to be used. However, after the birth of Zn-al-mg Steel Coil, continuous hot-dip galvanizing of aluminum and magnesium can be used.
(2) When roads in Europe and other places need to be salted, if other coatings are used to produce car floor plates, they will be corroded quickly and must be made of Zn-al-mg Steel Coil. Such cases include beachfront villas and other buildings;
(3) Special occasions that require acid resistance, such as poultry houses and troughs on farms, where poultry manure is acidic, should use zinc-aluminum-magnesium coils that are more resistant to pickling corrosion.
